Answering service pricing is not always structured the same way. Some services bill per minute, per call or per receptionist seat. A useful comparison checks what usage is included, the overage terms, the hard limit or fallback behavior, and whether routing or integrations cost extra.
Voice AI has a real per-minute cost, so we do not pretend otherwise. What we do instead is make the ceiling yours to set. Every plan shows its included minutes and any overage rate before activation, warns you at 70% and 90% of the allowance, and applies the rule you chose at 100% — overage if you enabled it, or the fallback path if you did not.
The three terms get used interchangeably, and they are priced very differently. A traditional answering service or virtual receptionist is staffed by people, so its cost scales with the time those people spend on your calls. WarmAnswer is AI — the receptionist is software, does not impersonate a named person, and answers truthfully if a caller asks whether the system is automated. That is why the entry plan is $49 a month rather than a per-seat rate, and it is also why a hard usage ceiling matters: software can answer every call at 3am unless you set a limit.
What it will not do is replace your office. It handles the repeatable first response — answer, qualify, check the service area, capture the request, route the call. See how the workflow runs before deciding which plan fits your call volume.
BILLING QUESTIONS
WarmAnswer plans start at $49 a month, with $99 and $199 tiers for higher call volume. Included minutes, any overage rate and the hard-limit behavior are shown before activation. Traditional staffed answering services and virtual receptionists may price per minute, per call or per seat, so compare the quoted price with the included usage and overage terms.
Included minutes and any overage rate are confirmed after representative call-cost testing. You will see the full allowance, usage limits and fallback behavior before activation.
Voice AI creates a real per-minute cost. Limits, overage and a hard-cap option protect both the plumbing business and the platform from uncontrolled use.
Pilot access and any trial limit are shown before activation. No paid voice usage starts until the plan, billing requirements and usage controls are confirmed.
Service remains available through the paid period according to final terms. Number forwarding or porting implications are shown before cancellation is confirmed.
